     Title: Hirsel Policies Re-opening

Hirsel Estate Policies & Walks

The Home Family, following the Scottish Government’s partial lifting of the Coronavirus lock-down, are delighted to be able to re-open the Hirsel walks to the local Coldstream communities with effect from Friday 29th May 2020.

What to expect from your visit?

To help keep our visitors, staff and local community safe, we have had to make some changes so your visit will be slightly different to usual - the Hirsel Gallery, Workshops, Museum, Tea Room, Play-area and Toilets will all remain closed for the time being.

In accordance with the Government’s advice that people should stay within their local area and that the re-opening of car parks should be discouraged, the car parks at the Homestead & Dundock (on the A697) will be open for use by Disabled and Blue Badge Holders and people with mobility problems, only.

Otherwise, we would ask members of the public to visit the Hirsel on foot, by one of the usual entrances.

The ticket machine at the Homestead will not be operating and there will be no charge for your visit.

The walks and the policies are otherwise, generally, open as usual; however, we would ask you to respect the following matters:

Please help us to keep everyone safe by respecting these rules.

Welcome back - we hope you enjoy your visit!
