Hirsel News
We are delighted to advise that the Tea Room, toilets and play area are now open, along with the car park and walks. The museum continues to remain closed for the time being.
We would ask that you continue to respect the following matters:
Please protect yourselves and others by maintaining (2m) social distancing (ensuring you do not gather in groups, except with members of your own household) at all times.
- Be aware of pinch points around the walks, approach them with care and wait if you think may be too close to fellow visitor.
- Please keep dogs on leads.
- Beware of others around you and the Hirsel Estate staff who are working very hard to keep the walks safe, properly maintained and open in accordance with the Government’s guidelines.
Please help us to keep everyone safe by respecting these rules.

Planning consent was granted on 2nd March 2011 for a new Birgham Village Shop (located at Birgham Haugh) to serve both the day to day needs of the village as well as passing trade - en route between Coldstream & Kelso. It is hoped the development will provide an important local facility that will be a benefit to both the thriving village of Birgham and its outlying community.
We would like to thank everyone for the interest that has been shown in Leet Haugh and for their patience during the wait for the project to be launched.
