Birgham Haugh - Hirsel Estate
Birgham Haugh is a development of 5 residential properties in the heart of Birgham – a thriving village community midway between Coldstream and Kelso.
The development, which was granted full Planning Consent in May 2010, was designed by Simpson and Brown (acclaimed Edinburgh architects) and comprises two farm steading conversions and 3 three bedroom detached houses.
The site, at the east end of the village, has panaoramic views over open countryside across the River Tweed towards England.
Birgham is a thriving community who recently purchased (and now run) the local village pub – the Fisherman’s Arms. There are plans for a small village (farm) shop in close proximity to the site which will hopefully provide an additional facility for the village.
The houses are being developed by Hudson Hirsel and will be built by builders F Swords and Son, both of whom have worked very closely with the Estate on a number or projects over the last 7 or 8 years.
